📰 Dream Car Classified: ZX Fever / Two Generations, One Impossible Choice

Presented by RevHard Motors
By Josh Juhasz

From the angular, digital-dash swagger of the Z31 to the curvy, twin-turbo punch of the Z32, the Nissan 300ZX is a masterclass in ‘80s and ‘90s Japanese performance.

This week, Bring a Trailer has delivered a one-two punch for Z enthusiasts: a pristine 1986 300ZX with just 27,000 miles and a five-speed manual, and a 1991 Twin Turbo with only 41,000 miles on the clock.

One is all sharp edges and analog charm, the other is smooth lines and boost-fed fury. Either way, these survivor-grade examples prove why the 300ZX remains a staple in JDM lore. And if you’ve got your eye on a right-hand-drive version—or just want to skip the bidding wars—Revhard Motors can hunt down and import the perfect Z straight from Japan.

🧠 Buster’s Based Metatations: The Win is Found Between Want and Need

Presented by the $BSTR token
By @Rext_Racer

Two cars, both calling your name.
One’s a tuned monster with a dyno chart that makes fanboys drool. The other’s a clean, low-mileage classic, bone stock but begging for the right hands.

The impulse buyer? He’s already halfway to the bank after reading the spec sheet. More horsepower, more mods, more hype — more now.

The deliberate buyer? He pauses. Not out of fear, but out of respect. He knows a spec sheet isn’t a full story — it’s a highlight reel. He asks:

  • What’s my purpose here?

  • What road am I really trying to drive?

  • Will this be a thrill for a month or a partner for years?

That pause? That’s the based advantage.
It’s the space between want and need. Between hype and reality. It’s the mental test drive you take before the physical one.

Deliberation in Motion

Seneca would tell you: haste is the enemy of good judgment. Epictetus would remind you to check the impression before you act. Both would tell you the dyno chart is not the car.

Racing or buying, it’s the same principle — rushing the turn-in ruins the exit. You want the line that sets you up for the win, not just the line that feels fastest in the moment.

So you slow your breathing. You run the numbers. You picture your life with this car in six months. And maybe, just maybe, you realize the clean stocker’s the better play.

Because a good choice tomorrow is worth more than a fast choice right now.

Deliberation isn’t hesitation. It’s sharpening your aim before you pull the trigger. It’s the skill that keeps your garage — and your life — from filling up with impulse buys that look good on paper but fall flat on pavement.

Slow your roll. Check your gut. Then send it.

Formula E's Big Shake-Up: Who's In and Who's Out?

The Formula E grid is about to get a major overhaul as teams prepare for the 2025-26 season. With McLaren's sudden exit from the championship, at least two full-time drivers will be out of a drive. Robin Frijns, Sam Bird, and Jean-Eric Vergne are among those facing the axe, while Oliver Rowland, Nyck de Vries, and Mitch Evans are safe in their seats. The biggest question mark is around Antonio Felix da Costa, who could switch to Jaguar or stay with Porsche.

The silly season is in full swing, with teams scrambling to fill their line-ups. Could Taylor Barnard make a comeback with a Stellantis-powered team? Will Porsche take a chance on Dan Ticktum or stick with Pascal Wehrlein? The drama is building, and we'll be keeping a close eye on the developments. Stay tuned for the latest updates on Formula E's biggest shake-up yet.

Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition Brings Big-Screen Mayhem Home

Buckle up—Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition blasts onto PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on October 24, 2025, delivering the franchise’s first console outing since 2020. Adapted from Raw Thrills’ hit arcade racer, it straps you into Dom’s Dodge Charger, a Corvette Z06, or a Shelby GT500 KR for wild, movie-style missions—think missile interceptions in the Swiss Alps and midair plane takedowns over Hong Kong. Every track is a playground of shortcuts, colossal stunts, and environmental destruction, wrapped in over-the-top cinematic flair.

Local split-screen lets two players trade paint in pure arcade fashion, with no online play to slow the pace. It’s a high-octane, nitrous-fed throwback built for instant fun—where drifting, boosting, and chaos aren’t just encouraged, they’re the only way to win.

DRVN Labo & Buster Are Headed to the Onchain Summit in San Francisco!

Next week, our founder Alexander, aka Rex Tracer (that’s me!) is headed to the Onchain Summit hosted by Base/Coinbase. I’ll be connecting with all the builders, creators, and developers who make Base the ultimate home for projects aiming to bring web3 to the masses.

We’ll also be debuting our updated DRVN/VHCLS app, fully optimized for integration with the new everything-app incubated by Coinbase, The Base App (TBA).

Keep an eye on our socials for live updates of my adventures, as I cruise the Ξ14 into town. It may or may not have the livery you see above. We’ll see how it shakes out.

FuelFest Japan 2025: Fast, Furious, and Full Throttle at Fuji

Click to for a peak into the event on Instagram.

On August 11, Fuji Speedway became ground zero for Japan’s wildest car party of the year. FuelFest Japan 2025 packed the circuit with over 2,000 tuned street machines, 200 supercars, and a star-studded Fast & Furious reunion featuring Sung Kang, Tyrese Gibson, and Cody Walker. Fans were treated to drag races, drift battles, a 1,000-car parade, and movie-perfect replicas, all hitting peak boost on Japan’s Mountain Day holiday.

Beyond the tire smoke and turbo whistles, the festival mixed in food trucks, a kid zone, and taiko drum performances for the Noto Peninsula relief effort. Ride-alongs, live concerts, and the new “Slow N Low Exit Parade” of JDM royalty kept the energy surging to the very last lap. With proceeds benefiting Paul Walker’s Reach Out WorldWide charity, FuelFest proved it’s more than just a horsepower binge—it’s a celebration with heart.

📌 Feature Story: Lamborghini Fenomeno / The Bull Goes Nuclear

By Jet Sanchez at Driven Car Guide

Lamborghini didn’t just roll into Monterey Car Week 2025—they dropped a carbon-fiber warhead.

The Fenomeno is their most unhinged production car yet, fusing Huracan GT3 aero, Essenza SCV12 aggression, and fighter-jet swagger into a 29-unit, $3.3–$3.6M street-legal missile. Even the doors work as active cooling vents. By the time the covers came off, allocations were almost gone—because in the world of hypercars, insanity sells fast.

Beneath that origami-on-steroids bodywork lurks a reworked 6.5L NA V12, teamed with three electric motors to produce 1,065hp. That’s good for 0–100km/h in 2.4 seconds, 350km/h flat out, and a dethroning of the Revuelto as the fastest Lambo ever. It’ll creep 20km in EV mode if you insist, but make no mistake—the Fenomeno exists to shred tarmac, not save trees. This isn’t just a limited edition. It’s Lamborghini throwing the rulebook into the exhaust flames.

⭐️ Celebrity Car Collection Showcase: Fernando Alonso

Presented by DRVN Labo
By @Ironmaiden1541

F1 is a young man’s sport, with one enduring exception. And no, I’m not talking about Brad Pitt.

Fernando Alonso is the longest serving F1 driver in history. And his years have been kind to him, with 2 world championships under his belt.

But what belts does he buckle up when he’s not cruising with the kiddos on race weekends? We’ve got a thread on X that lays it out.
